DESCRIPTION

“You give me your shield of victory. You stoop down to make me great.” Symbols within the painting are taken from ancient shields and represent such elements as Eternity, Constancy, Glory and Splendor. The motion of the wave, as well as the wave itself, represents the ever-changing, yet constant, strength with which we are both rescued and sustained. The shape of the seed being lifted up carries in it the potential for growth and maturity. The color red brings forth the reality that sacrifice is required in this process.
